Building a brand synonymous with sustainability

Esri Ireland has customers spanning industries including renewable energy, critical national infrastructure, utilities, land restoration and rehabilitation, as well as fishing and sea angling conservation.

With a broad client base in the private and public sectors, Esri Ireland wanted to shine a spotlight on its services for organisations, with a particular focus on its strong sustainability credentials, through clear and consistent messaging, proven customer stories, and targeted media coverage.

Esri Ireland’s Live Green and Give Back values are a core element of its ‘Make it Count’ 2021-2025 business strategy and are woven through the entire ethos of the company. Sustainability has been a steel thread since the company’s inception and can be traced right back to its founder, Jack Dangermond, an environmentalist and philanthropist who is still very much spearheading Esri’s technology prowess.

In order to showcase this sustainability legacy and longevity and drive increased awareness of the company’s GIS technology and services across the board, Comit is providing Esri Ireland with a tailored and highly proactive PR service which supports and builds the brand.

Telling the technology story

Comit’s targeted PR programme has helped to put Esri Ireland on the technology map, with a key focus on building awareness across three main areas – the company’s corporate story, customer successes, and technological capabilities.

As part of the programme, Comit showcases Esri Ireland’s services by highlighting innovative customer success stories in the media. Coverage in national and key technology publications is, in turn, increasing brand visibility among prospective customers to help build a more sustainable future.

In addition, Comit has secured a number of high-profile media opportunities for senior spokespeople to further consolidate Esri Ireland’s messaging. Interviews and opinion editorials in key Irish and Northern Irish business publications position the company as a thought leader among a key demographic of decision-makers. PR is developing the profile of leaders and employees across the business and helping Esri to stand out as an outstanding employer of choice in Ireland. This has been recognised by the Great Place to Work Ireland Awards which has seen Esri feature in the top ten of the Best Small Workplaces in Ireland for eight consecutive years. It also won the Best Place to Work at the 2024 Irish Tech Excellence awards.

Furthermore, in recognition of Esri Ireland’s continued efforts in the sustainability space, Esri Ireland won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Planet Earth through Technology’ award at the 2024 CIO and IT Leaders’ Awards. Comit supports Esri Ireland with its award submissions and a significant element of its awards success is due to positive brand recognition in the media.

“Comit really understands our value proposition – they get who we are and what our customers do, and are aligned to our business goals and objectives. We bring the capabilities in technology and sustainability, and Comit brings the knowledge, storytelling expertise, and media connections to bring these to life. Comit is not only a key strategic partner for Esri Ireland but they are also like an extension of our team. They are always really positive and helpful, and care deeply about the quality of the service they provide.”
